Lo-cal Cyle Biodynamic Winery is a winemaking factory located in Ezine, Çanakkale, Turkey.

Lo-cal Cycle Biodynamic Winery is designed as an agricultural movement against chemicals, a self-sustainable and biodynamic energy management system that sees the vineyard as an ecological environment, aiming to adapt to the challenges of climate change in today's world where everything is changing rapidly.

Biodynamic viticulture is the combination of ecology, ethics and spirituality. Biodynamic viticulture is a balance between wine, man, stars and earth.

Wines are being produced following the lunar calendar, leveraging the moon's influence on the Earth to enhance productivity and mitigate potential challenges encountered during the cultivation process. According to this lunar calendar, specific tasks are assigned to different lunar phases: flower days are designated for leaving the vineyard, leaf days for watering plants, root days for pruning, and fruit days for harvesting.

For this purposes, biodynamic wine production, gravity flow winemaking, chateau production techniques are being used.

Biodynamic Winemaking: -Cultivation: animals to till cover crops in the winter, use compost that is acquired from the farm and animals, natural fertilizer. -Crop Management: Makes use of natural predators(good bugs) to get rid of the tasty prey(bad bugs) that are damaging the crop. -Harvesting: Hand-picking during the cooler hours after sundown can be gentler on the grape's skin. -Winemaking: Uses native yeast cultivated on their farm.

Gravity flow winemaking involves allowing the wine to flow between winery levels without the use of pumps or mechanical force, thereby enabling a gentle extraction of color, flavor, and tannin from the grapes.

Wine production process consists of three stages: The grape process, fermentation, aging & bottling. In order to apply the Gravity Flow Technique, the factory is planned on three separate floors where these three stages are carried out separately to take advantage of gravity, allowing wine to be moved around much more gently. When the grapes are harvested from the vineyard, they are taken to the top floor with forklifts to undergo the crushing & pressing stage. After the grape process is completed, it is transferred to the lower floor for the fermentation process, without the need for pumps, by the help of gravity to move it. After the fermentation, filtration and clarification process is completed, it is transferred to the bottom floor for the aging and bottling phase.

Château technique is applied to winemaking process, with a commitment to artisanal production methods and the use of traditional techniques, which involves hand-harvesting the grapes on the estate and allowing to produce wines that reflect the distinctive characteristics of Ezine region.

The wine varieties produced at Lo-cal Cycle Biodynamic Winery are Red Wine, White Wine, Rose Wine, Fortfields by using local grapes such as Papazkarası, Karasakız, Vasilaki, Yapıncak and foreign grapes such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Semillion, Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc.

An industrial amusement park and riverside recreational master plan

were also planned for Ezine, with this project.

The aim was to create a self-sufficient neighborhood by using local resources and materials to create new job opportunities for Ezine citizens. The old Ezine relied on external resources, but now it has become global thanks to collective factories. The industry, which was always seen as dangerous, has now become adventurous.

The landscaping of the project also brings together the population and nature, especially the river.

The abandoned Gypsy neighborhood is being revitalized and brought into the region by leveling the streambed and riverside landscaping.
